- Unfortunately, it's all too common these days for children to bear the brunt and cost of adult selfishness. When adult agendas (gay rights, sexual freedom, abortion rights, even fiscal irresponsibility) take priority over what's best for the children, we have proven our moral depravity.

- Go the opposite direction. Remove marriage as a state-sanctioned institution. Remove the "benefits" of having marriage regulated by the state. Tax everybody on an individual basis.

- Reading Genesis in the Old Testament, and Paul's epistles in the New Testament leads to a reasonable conclusion that men were routinely supposed to take the leadership role. There were exceptions - Deborah in the Book of Judges is an obvious one.
